I have worked for a number of independent musicians over the years. These photos come from CD “digipacks” created for independent artists over the past years. The designs are hand drawn, hand lettered (often), and where photography has been important these have been made from my own photographs. There has been a lot of detailed photomontage in each of these covers, and then an attention to detail in the fabrication. Three of the CDs are shown, and these have to be printed with separate inks so the fabrication is different from the cover art. Five of the CDs are three way “gatefold” booklets, and so there has been an extreme attention to detail in ensuring that the whole package works harmoniously.
